System Description
The Town’s wastewater treatment plant consists of influent flow metering, primary settling and disposal of primary effluent in infiltration beds.

 

Collection System
In addition to the gravity sewer, there are three submersible pumping stations and a drywell / wetwell pump installation through which the entire flow is pumped to the wastewater treatment plant.

 

Septage Disposal
The Septage Disposal site for the disposal of all the septage generated in Brownville was constructed in 1991 adjacent to the Brownville Wastewater Treatment Facility.
