The Jaws swivel on two ball bearings, thereby binding the material around the hook when it rotates. The vise will hold hooks of all sizes, and they will be completely immovable. The Jaws open/close with a cam-arm. Big Foot Base with Hackle gauge

This is a really nice heavy duty vise base. It will accept most all vises, including the Dan Vise. It adjusts from 3/8" post to approx. 1/2". Just install your favorite vise and you are set to tie any style and size fly. Complete with two built-in spool holders and a hackle gauge. Even has a catch-all area, also includes a soft bottom to help protect the tying area. This base is very nicely made and is quite heavy it weighs 6 pounds.
